Correct answer: A. Both Statement I and Statement II are trueकथन I और II दोनों सत्य हैं

Explanation

Parartha-anumana (inference for others) needs the five-membered syllogism: pratijna, hetu, udaharana, upanaya and nigamana, so Statement I is true. Svartha-anumana (inference for oneself) is an internal process needing no formal statement, and is usually described with three steps (e.g. hetu, vyapti/udaharana and nigamana), so Statement II is also accepted as true. Hence both Statement I and Statement II are true.
