Unit 6 · Logical Reasoning Paper 1 · 12 October 2022 Morning

Given below are two statements: One is labeled as Assertion A and the other is labeled as Reason R.
Assertion A: There are certain psychological conditions under which inference takes place.
Reason R: Absence of positive knowledge and will to infer its presence or absence are pre-requisites for inference to be drawn.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:

Correct answer: A. Both A and R are true and R is the correct explanation of AA और R दोनों सही हैं और R, A की सही व्याख्या है

Explanation

Inference is not made about what is already known with certainty; it arises only in a state of doubt, where positive knowledge is absent, together with the desire (will) to know whether something is present or absent. R therefore names exactly the psychological conditions that A asserts, so both are true and R correctly explains A.जो बात पहले से निश्चित रूप से ज्ञात हो, उसके विषय में अनुमान नहीं लगाया जाता; अनुमान केवल संशय की स्थिति में उत्पन्न होता है, जहाँ सकारात्मक ज्ञान का अभाव हो और साथ ही यह जानने की इच्छा हो कि कोई वस्तु उपस्थित है अथवा अनुपस्थित।
