Correct answer: B. 31 : 2

Explanation

Selling price ₹62 gives 10% profit, so the cost of 1 kg of the mixture = 62 ÷ 1.10 = ₹56.36 (that is ₹620/11). Using alligation between milk at ₹60 and water at ₹0: milk : water = (620/11 − 0) : (60 − 620/11) = (620/11) : (40/11) = 620 : 40 = 31 : 2.₹62 विक्रय मूल्य पर 10% लाभ है, अतः मिश्रण के 1 किग्रा की लागत = 62 ÷ 1.10 = ₹56.36 (अर्थात् ₹620/11)। ₹60 वाले दूध और ₹0 वाले पानी में मिश्रण नियम लगाने पर: दूध : पानी = (620/11 − 0) : (60 − 620/11) = (620/11) : (40/11) = 620 : 40 = 31 : 2।
