Correct answer: C. Statement (I) is correct but Statement (II) is incorrectकथन (I) सही है, लेकिन कथन (II) गलत है

Explanation

Adding more equivalent items lengthens a test and raises its reliability (Spearman–Brown prophecy formula); since validity is capped by reliability, it generally improves too — Statement (I) is correct. A raw score by itself means nothing; it must be compared with norms (or a criterion) before it can be interpreted, so Statement (II) is wrong. Hence Statement (I) is correct but Statement (II) is incorrect.
